The sun was most definitely shining on the 2024 OS polo team when they faced alumni rivals the Old Felstedians in their annual match at Silver Leys Polo Club on Sunday 19 May.
The first to populate the scoreboard, from the off the OS were relentless in their persuit of a victory and at the end of the first chukka it was looking like the trophy would find a home on Maze Green Road.
The OF's were determined to even the score and by the end of the 2nd Chukka they were leading 2-1. After the traditional 'treading in' by the large group of spectators, the 3rd chukka got underway and Felsted scored again.
All too soon the teams found themselves in the final 7 minute chukka with Felsted leading 4-2. The determined OS team were riding end to end and with the dying moments of the match on the clock, spectators on their feet cheering on the players to victory, the OS equalled the score - ending this energy fuelled meeting as a thoroughly well earned draw.
Huge congratulations to both teams and gracious thanks to the 2024 OS Team for displaying their talents on the field.
