Fundraising complaints procedure
Bishop’s Stortford College, is a registered member of the Fundraising Regulator and follows the Code of Conduct as set out by the regulator.
You may make a complaint in writing by post or by email if you consider that we have breached the Code of Conduct or any other rules of practice issued by the Fundraising Regulator.
We ask that the College receive complaints no later than 28 days after the incident leading to the complaint. Please address your complaint to the Director of Development in the first instance. We ask you to express that you are contacting us to make a complaint and we would be grateful if you could clearly specify details of the breach that you consider to have occurred. We will acknowledge receipt of your complaint and set in train our investigations procedure. We will endeavour to inform you about the outcome as soon as possible and within 28 days of receiving your complaint. However, if you are not satisfied with our response you may refer your complaint to the Fundraising Regulator within two months of receiving it.
We will commit to keeping a full record of your complaint, the subsequent investigation, and associated correspondence for 24 months. Our records will be available to the Fundraising Regulator for this period of time. All complaints will be regarded as a source of learning and improvement by the College and we commit to putting in place any appropriate remedies.
