Britt Ellice
Development Director
Britt's original career plan was to become an English professor specialising in early 20th century literature, so after spending fifteen years in a variety of senior roles in Financial Services, she was thrilled to return to the Education sector in 2019 equipped with strategic relationship management skills polished in the City of London. Family, Philanthropy, and Community are Britt's top priorities, and as the proud parent of a young Stortfordian, she has the future of Bishop's Stortford College very firmly in her heart.
Emma Tumelty
Commercial Manager
Emma graduated with a Business Management degree and went on to work in management consultancy and corporate business. Over the last twenty years, her business experience has included operations, product development, organisational change, leadership development, marketing and communications, and procurement. Having been responsible for a £200m business operation in an FTSE 100, Emma has first-hand experience of running national organisations. After taking a break to have her two boys Emma moved into consultancy working for the Cabinet Office on a commercial programme across all government departments. Despite her corporate background, it was her desire to spend more time with her children that has led Emma to take up the position at the College and be closer to home. As Commercial Manager Emma is responsible for non-fee income and hopes to deliver several exciting opportunities for the College. Emma is passionate about business and thoroughly enjoys seeing an idea come to life!
Jennifer Law
Community Coordinator
After completing a Masters Degree in Politics and Contemporary History Jennifer worked at the heart of Westminster as a Public Affairs consultant for a flourishing PR & Public Affairs Agency. Specialising in healthcare lobbying and stakeholder management Jennifer went on to enjoy a successful freelance career before joining the College in 2011 to work with the Old Stortfordian Community as the Alumni Relations Officer. Building relationships across the OS Community was at the heart of Jennifer's activities as she organised and hosted a diverse range of events while also championing careers support and mentoring across the OS membership. Evolution of the Development Office sees Jennifer delighted to play a key role in the Stortfordian Foundation, building relationships with OS, College parents and staff as the Community Coordinator. Always keen to get thoroughly involved in all aspects of College life Jennifer is also a proud parent of two College pupils so never ventures too far from the campus!
Jo Beatty
Campaign Coordinator
Jo's career began in advertising and communications running a number of blue chip companies' media and communication strategy accounts. After the birth of her son she decided it was time to find a role that was more compatible with family life and as such made the decision to work in the Education sector, specifically external and alumni relations. Jo is relatively new to the College, joining in February, and is thrilled to be working on the launch and on-going ambitions of the Foundation.
