In addition to the goods being collected by pupils on site at Bishop’s Stortford College for UK Aid in support of Ukraine, a generous group of current College parents in our Stortfordian Community have also rallied together in a grassroots effort to support the millions of mothers and little ones that are flooding into Poland from Ukraine.
One of our current College parents, Justyna, has received calls from her home town of Gorzów Wlkp in Poland, asking for support. The citizens of Gorzów are already feeding around 1000 refugees each night and are housing many thousands more. Hundreds of Ukranian families are arriving daily in need of food and basic supplies.
In response, Justyna and other College Parents are presently operating a collection base from today, Tuesday (15th March) at 22a Twyford Business Centre, Bishops Stortford.
This Friday, 18th March, the group of College dads will be heading to Poland in 3 vans to personally deliver the supplies gathered to Gorzów Town Hall.
As a worldwide group of Stortfordians, even if you aren’t currently local to the Bishop’s Stortford area, you can still help by considering items from the Amazon wish list to be delivered via next day delivery straight to the parents at the Twyford Centre.

Best of luck from all of us in the Stortfordian community to Justyna and the rest of the volunteer parents!
