At my annual showbiz lunch at the Bull's Head in Barnes with a fascinating array of stars.
I'm pictured with Bruce Welch of The Shadows & Zoot Money who led his Big Roll Band to huge RnB success in the 1960's. His guitarist was Andy Summers who went on to form The Police with Sting & Stewart Copeland.
On the day that I joined BSC in September 1960 the No 1 record was Apache by The Shadows. I left in December 1966 when Zoot & his band were at the peak of their powers. I went to Bournemouth College Of Technology, as it was then, in the very town in which Zoot & most of his band had grown up.
A very small world!!
