It was an honour to welcome members of the 1868 Legacy Society and their guests to our annual lunch on Saturday, in the beautiful surroundings of the Senior School Library. This society, named in celebration of our founding year, represents the enduring spirit of our community. Members come together to hear about the latest College developments and to celebrate their shared commitment to supporting future generations of Stortfordians.
Always a popular event, we were treated to a wonderful harp recital played by a Lower Sixth pupil, only adding further to this convivial celebration. We also welcomed Sirah McGee, OBE as our guest speaker and learned about her exceptional career thus far, with a fascinating insight into her world as the UK / US Criminal Justice Advisor to Barbados and the East Caribbean.
Several OS have shown a keen interest in our legacy programme and we are delighted to see such enthusiasm and support for our initiative. In light of this, we look forward to extending a warm invitation to new members to attend the 2026 lunch, upon joining the 1868 Legacy Society.
If you would like to learn more about our legacy programme, you can find further information in this booklet: A Lasting Impact, or contact the Development Office on 01279 297277.
