College welcomes new Director of Development

Stefanie Giblin swaps the hallowed halls of a Cambridge College for the delights of the College campus.

Bishop’s Stortford College is delighted to announce the recent appointment of Stefanie Giblin as Director of Development. Stef has been working in managerial and leadership roles in education for more than two decades. She joins us from St John's College Cambridge where she held the position of Deputy Development Director.  During her time in Cambridge, she helped to set up a successful 13 strong development team, which delivered groundbreaking global fundraising campaigns focusing on educational accessibility and academic enrichment. Before that, she held a number of marketing roles in the academic publishing sector, which included managing the promotion for the world famous Arden Shakespeare list. Outside work, Stef lives in Bishop’s Stortford with her husband and three children. She's originally from the Peak district, which she says, fueled a lifelong love of the great outdoors. She holds a degree in Politics and Social Policy from Loughborough University.

Stef commented,

“I’m thrilled to be joining the Stortfordian Foundation community. The College’s impressive reputation for delivering exceptional student experiences will provide the foundation for an impactful development programme. I’m looking forward to leading the team and working with the whole College community to help deliver the College’s strategic vision and ambitious plans for the future. Everyone has been really welcoming so far and I look forward to meeting many more colleagues, parents and Old Stortfordians in the coming months”.
