The Pawsonality Pencil

Hi, I'm Sarah, owner of The Pawsonality Pencil. I’ve been in the creative industry for 30 years, originally as a graphic designer, then a Creative Director in London. About 10 years ago I picked up a pencil again, and remembered how much I loved drawing! I've worked on some lovely illustration projects since then, from cookery and children's books to branding.

I work from my studio in the Hertfordshire countryside, and when I’m not scribbling away I get out with Hamish, our bonkers chocolate Labrador, who was the inspiration for The Pawsonality Pencil.

Your furry friend is unique, so you want a portrait that captures that unique personality, not just their good looks!

The Pawsonality Pencil portraits are pet portraits with a difference. They celebrate our furry family members by capturing the funny and endearing things that they do. They’re all hand drawn, I don’t just reproduce a photo. I will come up with the ideas and illustrate the four  things that your dog or cat (or llama!) does, that makes them one of a kind.

I have had commissions from all over the world. They make fantastic gifts, and they’re a lovely way to remember pets that are no longer with us. Up to four pets can be incorporated in the same portrait and framing is included in the cost (see examples below).
